The gloves are off

The Owning Our Ignorance club is hosting a fight night. No, not your typical fight night; a night that consists of the movie Fight Club being shown. Sean Landis, a philosophy professor at Camden County College and head of the club describes the club as “a discussion club devoted to topics surrounded around getting better at learning.” Professor Landis stated that the club is called Owning Our Ignorance “because one of the important steps to getting better at learning is admitting that you don’t know something.”

The movie Fight Club will be shown starting at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 12th in room 107 of Madison Hall with a post-movie discussion to follow. The discussion will be an open forum discussing the philosophical themes that are found throughout the movie. “We wanted movies that would make for good discussion afterwards.” Professor Landis also added, with an energetic tone, “We also have free food!” Do not worry if you can not make it out to this movie night. The Owning Our Ignorance club plans on having a movie night every month. “We have it set up for the last Friday of every month.”
