March is considered Red Cross Month, where the American Red Cross raises awareness of their mission, which is to help victims, prepare others for disasters and other emergencies. This month is also dedicated to the 700,000 volunteers and 34,000 employees that give their time and effort into the organization. Red Cross Month was started in the year 1943 as a way to give others an opportunity to give back to their community. To get more information on the topic, you can go to the American Red Cross website at http://www.redcross.org.

If you are interested in giving back to your community and saving a life, the Red Cross is holding a blood drive at Camden County College in the Connector Lobby from 9am – 3pm. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are certainly welcome. For information about donating, you can go to http://www.redcrossblood.org or you can visit the Office of Student Life and Activities with any questions or concerns.
