BLACKWOOD – Has it been a long time since you have seen the dentist? Are you afraid to spend too much in this economy? Then visit The William H. Copperthwaite Dental Hygiene Clinic at Camden County College on the Blackwood campus.

The clinic operates to provide educational experiences for the students in order to prepare them to become licensed registered dental hygienists. The dental hygiene students are more than happy to make your dental experience a great one.

Located at Taft Hall, room 204; make an appointment on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday for the fall semester. Winter and spring hours change, consult http://www.camdencc.edu for further information for dates and times. Or call 856-374-4930.

Each session is 45 minutes long and includes screenings for new patients, X-rays, a thorough cleaning, nutritional consulting, and information about preventative care for the future. There is a small fee and everything is supervised by Dr. Catherine A. Boos, D.M.D.

“All patients are welcome”, said Boos.

Kristin Gullo, a hygienist student says, “We are always looking for new patients.”

The dental hygienist program is a two-year program that ends with certification to all of its graduates.

If you are afraid of the dentist, do not worry, you are in good hands with the clinic staff. All patients regard the students as being very gentle and thorough.

“We love doing what we do and look forward to graduating and helping others,” said Andrea Garrity, a senior in the program.

All students who perform services have demonstrated a specific level of competence before performing services on a patient. All patients left with smiles on their faces, and one stated that the clinic was the best that they have been to.
