BLACKWOOD – Camden County College provides students with many opportunities to learn traditional or digital photography. Lab hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you’re a student taking photography, the lab is open to you anytime during these hours.
Someone is always in there supervising. Photo students agree most supervisors are very helpful.
Tim Singleton is finishing his first year at Camden County College. He’s had photo one and is in studio. He isn’t a photo major but has shown interest in photography.
“If it wasn’t for the helpful supervisors in there I wouldn’t have taken another photography class,” Singleton stated. They made Singleton, who had no experience with photography, feel comfortable to ask questions.
The photo lab gives students access to develop and print pictures. Seventeen stations are available for printing traditionally. Depending on how much time you spend on your photo, you can easily spend a few hours in the lab at a time. Most classes are open lab, so if there aren’t enough stations, they have the right to tell you to leave.
Singleton has never been asked to leave but said if he ever is, “I will be disappointed but understand if it was me I’d want the same courtesy from other students.”
