BLACKWOOD – Linda Klinger is a vibrant, happy woman who works in the Camden County College photography lab. Any student who has had a photography course knows Klinger and her outgoing personality. Whether she’s helping a stressed student on a project or having a friendly conversation, Klinger is a fixture of the photography department.

Klinger was born in 1951 and grew up in Cherry Hill. A child of the flower power generation, Klinger’s free spirit is evident in her disposition. A lover of music, she saw legendary performers such as The Doors and Janis Joplin. The spirit of the ‘60s resonates within her persona.

Klinger has been employed by CCC for 20 years. “I love my job. I especially love watching the trends in photography. I see social trends and find it fascinating,” said Klinger.

Some of her daily responsibilities are mixing chemicals, maintaining equipment and overseeing the use of the lab by students. Upon walking into the photo lab, you will find Klinger in her office chatting in a friendly way with students or quietly reading. Photo students know if they have any question about photography, Klinger will go above and beyond her duty to help them.

Her optimistic attitude welcomes new students and creates a comfortable atmosphere to learn in. “I see so many different kinds of personalities working here, I really enjoy working with students and watching them progress throughout the semester,” said a smiling Klinger.

Students are also fond of Klinger’s glass-half-full outlook. “I always look forward to seeing Linda in the mornings when I have class. She puts me in a good mood,” said a second-year photography major.
