BLACKWOOD – The marketing coordinator for Camden County College is Jason Love.

Love didn’t originally plan for a career in marketing. He graduated from West Chester University in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in history. Love never went on to do much with his history degree; instead, he sold real estate for a couple of years. In 2009, when the market started to decline and the recession became in full effect, he decided to change career paths and apply to be a marketing director. He got the position.
Love organizes events at Camden County College. The Camden City campus has a banquet room equipped with a full kitchen and it has a mini theater, stage, microphones and projectors to accommodate events. Love manages the Camden County College Conference Center and the college’s Twitter and Facebook presence. Having other companies use the college’s venues brings revenue to the school.
Love said he does a lot of online marketing and that’s how he usually meets prospective clients. They contact each other via Facebook or e-mail, set up a meeting and usually bring an audio/visual presentation about what they plan to do when they see the venue at the Camden City campus. He plans the gatherings.
Love said he “enjoys working at the college because the people are nice and it’s a good working environment.”
Love will be married 10 years in September. He has three children and lives in Gloucester County.
