The Corporate Training Institute is one of the many programs at Camden County College that few know about but many benefit from. Built to help business, government and non-profit organizations, the program provides training to produce outstanding results for the company to improve and move forward.

Offered for the last 25 years, the CTI offers a variety of services, such as employee and leadership development, marketing, information and manufacturing technology, and work place literacy. Each faculty member provides an interactive and interesting learning environment. Classes are held on site or on campus at the Camden County College Blackwood campus.

“Each training is customized for the organization and is very specific,” explained Carol McCormick, the account executive. “The organizations are paired with a project manager that implements the programs and coordinates efforts.”

McCormick also explained that the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development allows any New Jersey company to apply for a Customized Training Grant. If the company receives the grant, they have a year grant contract period. In addition, the department offers a NJBIA Training Grant. It allows all New Jersey employees to sign up for their free training classes covering Microsoft Office, communication skills both verbal and written, customer service, and English as a second language.

For companies to apply, they must meet specific business needs with an emphasis on training front-line workers, be flexible with employees during training hours, and be up to date on their taxes. For additional information, you can reach Carol McCormick at cmccormick@camdencc.edu.
