BLACKWOOD – After tackling the first half of the fall semester, Camden County College is offering students a chance to relax. On Nov. 30, Student Activities will be holding a “Rizzieri Spa On The Go” event for students at the Blackwood Campus.
In the Cyber Café between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., students can come at their leisure to enjoy a number of spa services, including massages, pedicures and facials performed by the spa professionals at Rizzieri Salon & Spa.
Rizzieri Salon & Spa has been serving the local community in beauty and wellness since 1995. With two locations in Marlton and Washington Township and a third developing in Voorhees, the Rizzieri name is buzzing about the area. According to the organization’s history located on the Rizzieri website, Rizzieri Salon & Spa has earned a great deal of recognition including Philadelphia Magazine’s Best of Philly, Philadelphia Inquirer Readers Choice Award, Courier-Post Best of South Jersey, South Jersey Magazine’s Best of South Jersey and SJ Magazine’s Best of Award.
Spa services are being offered free of charge to Camden County College students. “This event is completely free, this is for the students, we do this for you,” said Renee Pollard, secretary of Student Activities at Camden County College. “Also, no appointments necessary, students can stop by throughout the day.”
In addition to the Nov. 30 event at the Blackwood campus, Director of Student Life and Activities Jacqueline Tenuto has arranged for a Spa On The Go day at Camden County College’s Camden City campus on Nov. 29.
According to Rizzieri’s price listings, massage, pedicure and facial procedures retail for $47 and up, so students are delighted to hear that services will be offered for free. “I haven’t been to the salon in a while but when I do go I usually get manicures and pedicures,” said student Robin Hester. When asked how she felt about the school dedicating a day to pampering students, Hester continued, “I think it’s great … as long as it’s quality, I think it’s great.”
