Camden County College student William Morrison lead the Cougars to defeat the Sussex County Community College Skylanders at home Saturday Jan. 28, 2012, scoring five, three-point shots and four rebounds.

“This win places us 12th in the nation, in division III of the NJCAA,” Cougars’ assistant coach Bob Wright said.

The final score of the game against the Skylanders was 85-44. Leading in points was first year liberal arts major, William Morrison of Lindenwold.

Morrison was taken out of the game during second period for a minor left ankle injury after attempting a rebound.

Morrison returned to the court four minutes later after having his ankle wrapped by the coach and scored four, three-point shots.

“I actually played better after being injured,” Morrison said.

The game against the Skylanders was the first returning game for Morrison who missed four consecutive games due to taking an intensive winter course at CCC.

The Cougars showed excellent teamwork and demonstrated skill on offensive plays which gives them the current record of 23 wins, four loses  for the 2011-2012 men’s basketball season.
