It is still not too late to sign up for the summer. Registration for summer classes remains open to all returning and new students.

Returning students can go to the academic advisement office in room 100 of the community center or register online. New students must go to the advisement office and see an adviser. The advisement office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.
Head of the Admissions Department Danielle Powers said summer registration is going well so far. However, she said two things are different in this summer registration from last year. The first is there are different payment deadlines. Students who picked their summer classes before April 13 had the payment due May 1. However, there is a different deadline after May 1. The second is there is a new guest student registration process where students from other universities may come to Camden County College and register for summer classes there.
As of May 1, Powers said 2,900 students have registered for the summer. However, this number can go down because some students may drop these classes before the first session of summer classes starts. She said the number who have registered is “more than last year so far but we will not know until next week depending on how many people drop their classes.”
She also stated the summer semester is very good and has six main sessions. There are two five-week sessions, two seven-week sessions and two online sessions and all go one session to the other. There are no classes on Friday in the summer. The five-week sessions seem very hard by putting a lot of information in a student’s education in only five weeks; however, Powers stated, “Summer classes can benefit any student. It just depends on how the student works in these summer classes because everybody is different.”
College student Bobby Goldschmidt will take summer classes and said the academic advisement did the process well and he is excited to take his Introduction to Sociology class and his World Civilizations I class. “The academic advisement treated me well as they gave me the right classes and at perfect times in the morning. I take Intro to Sociology from 8 a.m. to 9:55 a.m. and I take World Civilizations I 10 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. and that is perfectly fine with me,” Goldschmidt said.
