BLACKWOOD – The fifth annual poinsettia sale will take place at Camden County College in December.

The poinsettia sale will take place in the Connector Building Atrium. By Michael Penn, CCC Journalism Program
Members of the college community have sold poinsettias, a houseplant popular around Christmas, for several days each fall, usually in November, since 2011. This year the sale will take place Dec. 9 to 11. It will be held in the Atrium of the Connector Building on the Blackwood campus from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the sale will benefit student scholarships.
Anna Good, 20, a second-year student at CCC, has taken advantage of the poinsettia sale. “I’ve only been here for a year but last year I heard about the poinsettia sale in October,” Good said. “I didn’t know about it benefiting scholarships for students but I knew my mom likes them so I told her about it.”
Lauren Carfolite, 20, another second-year student at CCC, didn’t know about the sale. “This is the first semester of my second year here and I have never heard of the sale. I do apply for scholarships every year though, so knowing about it now, I’ll probably tell my parents about it. I think my mom will like them.”
