BLACKWOOD – Camden County College’s Office of Student Life and Activities has put together a webpage with virtual activities to keep students occupied as the pandemic continues.

A short message from the Office of Student Life and Activities is the first thing visitors see when opening the virtual activities webpage. It lets them know they will find links to museums, attractions and more activities to keep busy during the pandemic.

The museum section includes links to more than 16 websites that provide virtual tours of museums from around the globe. The virtual tours may not be as impressive as walking through these museums in person, but they are the next best thing, especially when most museums are closed to the public.

The virtual tour of the Louvre Museum in Paris is an especially noteworthy experience for students. A trip to Paris to see this museum in person is nearly impossible at the moment, especially for college students. The Office of Student Life and Activities’ link to this museum’s website is a way to have fun and learn about the museum safely at home.

The Louvre’s site offers a 360-degree virtual experience through each section of the museum, allowing visitors to zoom in and out on artifacts and sections in the museum.

Camden County College’s virtual events webpage also provides access to virtual events taking place at zoos, aquariums and theme parks, exercise programs, fun things to do, hair tutorials, do-it-yourself projects, links to food banks and online cooking classes, and ideas for organizing work spaces at home.
