Recent changes in the menu include gluten-free and freshly made items.

Supervisor Roe Lamson said food service workers are trying to make food fresher and more enjoyable for customers because of past complaints. They added freshly made options for customers. An app allows customers to browse the options and customize their orders.

Among the changes are chicken, veggie burgers and black bean burgers, which many customers expressed a desire for. A new salad bar allows customization for customers.

Students are interacting with staff members and speaking up on what food they want.

“We are here to make our customers happier and leave them coming back for more,” staff member Jill Raymond said.

Student Tanesha Lopez said she enjoys the food options offered on campus. The hot and fresh food is Lopez’s favorite aspect of the cafeterias and she particularly enjoys the chicken and fries.

Lopez said she “loves what Sodexo is doing” and hopes they continue the improvements.
