Camden County College supports military veterans by operating veterans’ outpost lounges on its Blackwood and Camden campuses. The Blackwood lounge is in Room 202A in the Community Center. The Camden lounge is in Room 208 in College Hall.
The lounges provide quiet areas for veterans to study and relax before classes. The lounges work with the college’s Veteran Services Center to aid veterans who are students with resources on and off campus.
At the time of the dedication of the Camden lounge, then-College President Don Borden said the college recognizes “that higher education is a major step in transitioning from military to civilian life.”
