Feeling hungry for your finals this week? Well, you are in luck because Camden County College in Blackwood is serving free breakfast food three days this week. It is called Feed Your Brain for Finals.

Workers are serving free coffee, tea, water, juices, hot chocolate, fruit and pastries from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 5 to 7 in the second floor atrium of the Connector Building.

On Dec. 5, some students picked up coffee while others got a bit to eat. to help them focus on their day of studying. One of the students was Faith Martinelli, a freshman music major at Camden County College.

“It relieves a lot of stress and they don’t have to stress a lot about finals and can calm down and eat and treat themselves to prepare,” Martinelli said about her impression of the event. Martinelli took an apple and a cup of coffee to help her study for her finals this week.

Martinelli said the college should do this more often.

Mike Sheerin, a junior computer science major at Camden County College, also said the college should have the free food and beverage stand more often and not just for finals.

“It gets them ready to learn more things so they’re not hungry later on in the day,” Sheerin said. Sheerin took a cornbread muffin.

Martinelli and Sheerin were among waves of students who stopped by the stand to get something to eat and drink. Workers were frequently restocking the juices, coffee and pastries.
