CAMDEN – The nursing program at Camden County College will hold a Nursing Information Session from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Nov. 18 at the Camden City campus. Students interested in getting information about the nursing program are invited.

“There’s no registration needed for the information session. It doesn’t cost anything. They do ask that you please be on time and you may not bring children to the session,” said Susan Hanson, the secretary of the Nursing and Allied Health Program.

During the session, program representatives will answer questions from prospective students, Hanson said. “The students will learn what courses are required for the program, what steps to take to get into the program and (will be) asked to speak with an academic adviser to see what their own particular course needs may be depending on what classes they may have already taken or if they are just starting out with their academic journey.”

About 30 to 40 students are expected to attend the session, which Hanson said will help them “make an informed decision about the nursing program best suited to their needs.”

Steven Schneider, a former Camden County College student who was a part of the nursing program, said, “This is a great opportunity for people like me who are interested in nursing. We can go to the nursing information session and get the information we need to succeed. We all know nursing is not something anyone can just pick up on. This session will help us create the easiest steps to reach our goal.”
