BLACKWOOD – It is almost time for Camden County College students to decide what courses they will be take in the summer semester.

One student, Carly Domard, a 19-year-old freshman at Camden County College, is very excited about being able to take classes in the summer. “To get my degree on time and transfer to another college, I need to take my requirement classes and it needs to be science classes. I am hoping to take anatomy and physiology as well as pre-calculus in the summer semester,” Domard said.

Lucky for Domard, as well as other Camden County College students, a variety of classes is being offered during the different summer sessions. Among them are science classes, different levels of math classes and classes in many other subjects, according to WebAdvisor. The summer semester is broken into different summer sessions, including three different five-week sessions, an eight-week session and an online session.

Despite the perk of being able to get classes done faster and being able to move on to a four-year school quicker, sometimes the financial burden is a bit too much to handle and instead students opt out of taking summer courses. Sarah Bridgers, a 22-year-old student at Camden County College, is facing those troubles. “I’d say that paying out of pocket for the summer classes is too much for me at this moment. I want to take them so I can finish school; however, I am restrained because of financial burden,” she said.

Registration for the summer semester will begin March 14. For more information, visit http://www.camdencc.edu.
