BLACKWOOD – The annual Graduation Barbecue will be held May 12 in the courtyard of Camden County College’s Blackwood campus. From noon until 2:30 p.m., soon-to-be graduates will bring along family and friends to celebrate their achievement.

The tradition of students’ gathering with their peers and family, eating some good food and looking back on the time they have spent at Camden County College has taken place the last few years at the college. CCC alumnus Jacob Barger recalled last spring’s barbecue: “It was a great time, seeing people I’ve shared classes with, all enjoying themselves. The food was good but it was the company and memories that are the most significant to me.”

Soon-to-be graduate Bridgette Heisler said she is excited for what is to come this May: “Since I have never been to any of these events, I’m really looking forward to it. It should be a very fun time with the friends I have made here at Camden County.” As to what she is most looking forward to at the barbecue, she said, “food and friends.”

Large tents with tables and chairs will be set up in the courtyard by Lincoln Hall for the barbecue.

Flyers advertising the event will appear as the event grows closer. For more information, contact Assistant Dean for Student Development and Support Jackie Tenuto at jtenuto@camdencc.edu.
